Jessica Carter MS, RDN, LD, CDE, E-RYT200, Studio Owner, Primary Teacher
Jessica's 200 hour training was in a vinyasa style of yoga with a focus on the ashtanga school of practice. In addition to this foundational training she has also recently received a certificate of completion for Mind Body Solutions Opening Yoga/ Adapted Yoga training. Jessica is currently working towards her 500 hour certification. Jessica teaches a variety of classes. In her vinyasa class you can expect the trifecta: strength, balance and flexibility. There is an emphasis on breath work to not only build heat but to also balance the autonomic nervous system. In her other classes you will expect less flow (sometimes no flow at all) and more emphasis will be placed on working with the subtle body, energy movement, and general relaxation. Jessica encourages open dialogue in all her classes. She invites you to listen to your body and support it in whatever way it needs. She believes that yoga is for every body and for EVERY body. She teaches to the midline unless indicated in the class description. Jessica has a passion to adapt yoga to all levels of ability and enjoys teaching both group and private lessons. The practice of yoga is far more than just the application of the physical practice and she strives to bring the mind-body connection into not only her classes but all areas of her life.
